A woman has had to bring the lawyers in to convince credit reference companies that she’s still alive.
Alexander Goree from St Louis, says she’s had her financial life ruined by the decision of several credit agencies to list her as “deceased”.
Ms Goree may be the victim of mistaken identity, the agencies are investigating while they prepare for legal action and Ms Goree’s lawyers say her credit reports are full of inaccuracies. She had to fight for eight months to convince the companies that she was living and breathing.
Apparently, such mistakes aren’t that uncommon, but are usually quickly sorted out. Read more here
